Rebus - The symbol sentence game.There are 108 tiles of 3 different colors all with various symbols or letters on them, four racks for holding the tiles in front of each player, a 15x15 game board, instruction booklet, and 3 different colored storage bags to put the tiles in.The tiles are used to make 'Rebus' words or sentences (similar to using the letter tiles in Scrabble to make words) which are placed on the squares of the 15x15 grid game board. A Rebus is a word or sentence where a symbol replaces part of the word or sentence. For example: if you laid a tile with a picture of a letter 'S' followed by a tile with a picture of an 'oar' (from a rowboat) the the Rebus would read: 'snore'.Points are scored based on number of tiles used and color of the tiles you cover on the game board.The rule book comes with a description of each tile (in case you didn't know just what the picture is) as well as an example of use for each tile. These descriptions come in very handy when playing the game both for stopping player arguments as well as helping out stumped players.No average game time is given but I found my games lasted about 1 hour.
